April Fools’ Day is an annual event celebrated by League of Legends. It is also referred to as Urf Day, a special day to commemorate the fallen champion Urf, the Manatee. During this event, Riot releases featured game modes such as U.R.F and N.U.R.F. as well as unique skins. Today, we’re naming the seven best League of Legends April Fool skins to commemorate the event.

Urf The Manatee Warwick

Urf, The Manatee Warwick, is the first April Fool Skin to be released by Riot. In Urf’s lore, the Manatee Champion who never came to be but was seen as one of Riot’s mascot, it was said that the fallen champion was slain during his very first match in the Summoner’s Rift. And the perpetrator happens to be Warwick who is now known as The Uncaged Wrath of Zaun. In April Fools 2010, Warwick was seen wearing Urf’s skin, flaunting it to all his enemies on the battlefields.

Meowkai

Meowkai was just released last 2016 along with Draven Draven. The skin was a reference to the famous internet icon and meme, Nyan Cat, a cartoon cat with a Pop-Tart for a body which flies through space, leaving a rainbow trail behind him. In this skin, Maokai wears a yellow cat onesie.

Draven Draven

Draven Draven was one of the skins released to celebrate April Fools’ Day 2016. The skin features Draven wearing a large bobblehead of his face together with his Classic outfit. It was said that the concept was a reference to Draven’s egoistic attitude and that the skin was inspired by  Johnny Gat who disguises himself in Saints Row: The Third.

Urf Kench

Urf Kench was another skin that came out on April Fools’ Day 2016. To celebrate the event, Tahm Kench dresses up as a manatee and impersonates the fallen champion, Urf. He shares this theme with Urf the Manatee Warwick and Urf the Nami-tee. The skin came out with Meowkai, Draven Draven, and Definitely Not Vel’Koz.

Order of the Banana Soraka

Order of the Banana Soraka was released for April Fools’ Day 2015. The skin’s concept was a reference to the famous community joke about Soraka auto-attacking with Bananas. It was also inspired by  Carmen Miranda who is also known as the Chiquita Banana lady.

Urf the Nami-Tee

Urf the Nami-tee is a theme she shares with Urf The Manatee Warwick and Urf Kench. She dresses as Urf, and in this skin, all the sharks from her jokes are replaced by manatees. It was released in 2015 along with Order of the Banana Soraka, Archduke Nasus, Definitely Not Udyr, and Surprise Party Amumu.

Urfrider Corki

Urfrider Corki is the next April Fools’ Day skin that was released by Riot in 2011 next to Urf The Manatee Warwick. In this skin, Corki pilots Urf with a machine gun. If Corki scores a critical during the game, Urf will grunt and throw his spatula at Corki’s target. The skin is also the second one to be featured by GANK Industries.
