Telltale Games is an American independent video game developer who first made their name when they developed episodic series based on the iconic movies Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. But it was in 2012 when they gained so much popularity due to the release of The Walking Dead – A Telltale Game Series, which sold more than 8.5 million copies.
Telltale Games has, no doubt, created several outstanding episodic game series, and here are our favorites:
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is a five-part adventure horror series that is set in the same universe as Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book. It focuses on the story of Lee Everett, a convicted criminal, who has been given a second chance at life in a world ruled by the undead. As the survivor’s numbers decline, he tries to survive while protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy is the newest game from Telltale which is set in the iconic Marvel Universe, which brings a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest heroes: Star Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Drax, and Groot. In the wake of a new battle, the Guardians discover an unknown artifact that holds immense power. Now, they must protect the relic from a ruthless enemy who will stop at nothing to get it from their hands.
Minecraft: Story Mode
Minecraft: Story Mode is a game set in the Minecraft Universe that was released in October 2015 for Microsoft Windows PCs and gaming laptops. It lets the player embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, the Nether, and to the End. With the help of friends, you must embark on a journey to find the legendary Order of the Stone that can save the world from oblivion.
Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones is a six-part episodic game series which is set in HBO’s groundbreaking TV show adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire. The game focuses on the story of House Forrester, a noble family from north of Westeros who is loyal to the Starks of Winterfell. Caught up in the War of the Five Kings, they are thrown into a maelstrom of bloody warfare and must struggle to survive while the seven kingdoms tear themselves apart.
Tales from the Borderlands
