The game is a first-person, open-world survival game. Each player is equipped with a survival spacesuit with a jetpack, a multi-tool use to scan, mine and collect resources, and a spacecraft as your main vehicle to land and take off from planets. Using this tool, the player can freely explore, combat and trade to survive longer in space.

Players can collect information on the planets that they can upload on Atlas, a galactic database, which they are paid with units, the in-game currency. You can use these units to purchase new survival gear, tools, and spacecraft.

No Man’s Sky, by far, possessed a unique space exploration gameplay unlike any other. The universe it features is procedurally-generated, this includes solar systems, planets, creatures, and even the weather systems. It also features excellent rendering that gives each creature, geological formation, plant and spaceship a unique look. But the very best part of this game is that it dictates no plotline. You are free to do anything you want and explore the space in any way you choose. Such freedom allows you to discover things on your own and gives the thrill of curiosity.

Currently, the game has received over 50 awards and nominations including Game Critics Awards, The Game Awards Most Anticipated Game, Polygon Editors’ Choice Award, and IGN Game of Show E3 2014. The game is released for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows PC and gaming laptops on August 13, 2016.
